School Hours

Please have your child at school to line up in the yard when the Warning Bell rings at 7:55 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 8 a.m. Attendance matters! Please be on time. Our gates open at 7:35 a.m. Please give yourself extra time to drop off students in the morning, especially at the beginning of the school year, and remember that there is always other traffic around schools. Let us work together for excellent attendance. School gets out at 2:09 p.m. daily. Supervision ends at 2:20 p.m. Please make sure that your child will be picked up on time. If an emergency arises, please call the school office immediately to let us know that you are running late. 

Absences

When your child is absent, please call the attendance hot line to report the absence at 805-520-6775, Extension 3586. On the voicemail, please leave your child's name, the reason for the absence, the name of your teacher and your name. You can also send a note or an email to clear your child's absence. If the absence is not cleared it will become a "truant" after 5 days, so it is very important to clear all absences.

Try to schedule all vacations during non-school days. Our school calendar is on the website. 

Tardies

Your child is tardy if they are not lined up on the Quad by the 8 a.m. bell. After 6 tardies, you will be asked to meet with the administrator to discuss attendance. It's important for you child to be at school on time and ready to learn. Not only is it hard on your child when he/she arrives late, it interrupts the entire class when your child walks in late. They also miss morning announcements and classroom instruction when entering late.

Breakfast & Lunch

Set up your online account at www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/login/getmain?requestAction=home (go to MTiV website, go to café menu and there are links to set up your account). Breakfast is served from 7:35 am —7:50 am.
